Munich Meetup
The first Fillun community event is coming! 🤩
I am organising a meetup in Munich for anyone who was/is taking the EQEs between ca. 2019-2026, so for any recently (or partially) qualified European patent attorneys and EQE candidates who already started their journey to become European patent attorneys. If you work at the EPO but are interested in attending, you are also welcome! (You don’t have to live in Munich. If you are interested in meeting like-minded people, please feel free to come also from other cities/countries!)
Good news: Ignacio Lobato and Gabriele Honecker (both of them are actively supporting the EQE community) are also coming! 🤩
Date: Saturday, 27 April, 17:30-23:00
Program: Informal meeting to network, chat, eat and drink
Fee: There will be no entry fee but you will have to pay for your own food and drinks. (Everyone will be able to pay separately for their own drinks and food directly in the restaurant, also by card.)
Dress code (just because some people asked): none, this is an informal meeting
Place: Restaurant Hermes (address: Pasinger Str. 12, 82166 Gräfelfing, Germany)
This is a Greek restaurant with a 4.7/5 Google review score, so with good food (there are also vegetarian and vegan options) and even better service! The owner is extremely kind and flexible, providing us with a separate room where it will only be us. We can stay as long as the restaurant is open, 17:30-23:00. So, there is no minimum consumption and no maximum time limit. And, it will be a lot more quiet than a Biergarten!
Unfortunately we have not found similar conditions in the centre, but I hope you will not mind the short trip (30 minutes by public transport from MĂĽnchen Hbf) in exchange for these conditions.
IMPORTANT:
Please be informed that on the weekend of our meeting, construction works are planned on the S-Bahn lines in Munich. Unfortunately, the connections between the airport, the train stations of Munich (Hauptbahnhof and Ostbahnhof) and the train station of Pasing will be affected.

The most relevant change regarding our Meetup is that S6 in the direction to Gräfelfing (final stop: Tutzing) will start from Hackerbrücke.
You can also come to the restaurant without having to take the S-Bahn, just take U3 or U6 and a bus (e.g. U3 + Bus 267 or U6 + Bus 268).

My future plans: If it all goes well and there are enough people interested in coming, I would love to repeat this every 3-4 months, to strengthen our IP community and to help you build professional relationships, make new friends, form EQE study groups or find new positions.
