Asking for feedback

The EQEs are finished for 2024, we can all take a vacation now. So, see you in 6 months! 😀

Don't worry, I will not disappear for 6 months, I have way too many plans: gathering feedbacks about my study groups, thinking about how to improve, planning the schedule for next year, updating old blog posts, planning who to collaborate with, etc.

But for now, I wanted to tell you that I am so proud of all EQE candidates. I hope you can also be genuinely proud of yourselves, regardless of the result. I am 100% sure you gave your best at the exam. And now that the EQEs are over, you can finally have your evenings and weekends back, live your normal life and dive into your hobbies.

I didn't think I would have to write this again, but I'm terribly sorry you had to experience technical issues during the exam. This was the 4th year WISEflow was used and there were still technical issues, which I find outrageous. Copy-pasting not functioning, menu bar disappearing, keyboard problems for Mac users, screen going white, assignment opening very slowly causing several minutes lost, etc. These technical issues in addition to the already intense time pressure can cause a LOT of stress that will only make your answer worse.

However, did you know that you can file an appeal if you fail due to these technical issues? I do know about at least one appeal from last year that was based on the fact that there were still technical issues after 3 years, and the case ended up being successful. (Stay tuned, I am planning to provide a summary about that appeal case on my EQE blog.)

I am also sorry that they keep making these exams a lot harder than they should. Last year I said "To be honest, I have a hunch that many people who passed until 2019 would not be able to pass these exams, at least not for the first try." I still agree, especially in view of this year's Paper B.

However, you cannot do anything else at this point, but enjoy your well deserved freedom. So, try to forget about the EQE and live a little!

Asking for feedback

In the last 6 months, I did my best to help EQE candidates prepare for the EQEs. Now I would like to ask for your help. If you followed me and my EQE blog while preparing for the EQEs, I would like to ask for your feedback.

Did you follow my EQE Advent calendar? Did you use my EQE calendar for Pre-exam or Paper D? Did you print the free tables and templates? Did you watch my e-EQE methodology videos? Did you attend the free PCT refresher presentation I provided for CIPA? Did you participate in the Mock Paper D1 exam?

How did I do?

To be able to help EQE candidates next year as well, I would really like to know what you found the most helpful. If you have any other suggestions how I could have helped even better, please do let me know. I would really appreciate your thoughts to be able to plan what I should focus on in the next tutoring season.

Thank you in advance for your help!
