Optional breaks for pregnant EQE candidates during the exams

Are you taking the EQE while being pregnant?

If so, please inform EQE Secretariat (helpdesk@eqe.org) so that you can take extra breaks, even during exams where it is normally not allowed.

In principle, pregnant candidates are allowed to take as many unscheduled (toilet) breaks as they need to. They are further also allowed to stand and stretch when you need to. Please note that:

  • the time spent for the breaks cannot be added to the end of the flows (Comment: This is a huge disadvantage... when they are taking UK exams while pregnant, they are also given extra time...)

  • EQE Secretariat needs a medical certificate confirming the pregnancy;

  • like for regular breaks, they will have to inform the invigilator that they are taking a break and when they have returned; no need though to wait for their ok;

  • the invigilator will be informed about these needs.
