Paper D1/M2 study groups with Christina

Paper D1/M2 study groups with Christina

Hi, I am Christina - a scientist at heart, a European Patent Attorney by profession, and a tutor by passion.

I love transforming complex scientific and legal ideas into something people can truly understand and use. My journey has taken me from cancer immunology research at the University of Cambridge to helping clients protect their innovations. After training at Hoffmann Eitle, I am now in my Amtsjahr (my “court year”) as part of my qualification as a German Patent Attorney. Trilingual in French, German, and English, I enjoy connecting with people across cultures!

I have always loved sharing what I know, or at least my passion for learning. It began in school, tutoring fellow students, and continued at the University of Cambridge through their outreach program, where I helped make science engaging and accessible to students from underprivileged backgrounds. That love of teaching has accompanied me through every stage of my career: from guiding students in the lab to (soon!) mentoring colleagues and preparing future patent attorneys for the EQE. For me, sharing knowledge is not just about transferring facts; it is about sparking curiosity, building confidence, and making complex ideas feel approachable.

When I’m not immersed in patents or teaching, you will probably find me on a dance floor or organising cultural events in Munich and Stuttgart - because I believe learning, like dancing, works best when it is full of energy, connection, and joy!

Study plan: You will spend 15 weeks going through all legal topics (starting with PCT) in a planned way and after 3 weeks of Christmas break, we will spend 9 weeks from January with doing 9 previous D1 exams. The exact study plan will be shared with the members, after signing up.

Method: We will select 6-8 legal questions every weekend (from the DeltaPatents Main Exam book) that you should answer until the next meeting. We will pick different questions within a topic so that we can cover as many different issues as possible. During our weekly online meetings we will discuss the questions of the week together. This way, you can also learn from the other candidates. We can also discuss how you could find the answer in the books.

This study group program includes:

  • 24 online group meetings with Christina (held via Zoom), each meeting about 120 minutes long;

  • An introductory session with Q&A about the study materials, D1 methodology, and our study plan;

  • Discussion of more than 150 questions altogether (about 100 legal questions in the first 15 weeks and 50 D1 questions in the second part of the program), highlighting frequent mistakes and discussing difficulties;

  • Discussion of 9 previous D1 exams;

  • Legal refreshers;

  • Fully online meetings, allowing you to join from anywhere;

  • A copy of the recorded sessions (for the group members only) so that you can rewatch any parts of the meetings in case you cannot join every week;

  • A few extra (recorded) meetings, e.g. about Unitary patent;

  • Membership in a closed LinkedIn group created exclusively for the members of the D1 study groups.

Of course, if you only have time for half of the questions or if you miss a few meetings, that is completely fine. Everyone has busier periods. We will record our meetings so that you can watch them later.

Joining this study group comes at a weekly fee (invoiced in lump sum for companies, natural persons can also pay in four parts). Joining the group is only possible for the full period of the 6 months.

Correction of your answers is not included in the fee.
