Would you like to have an enthusiastic tutor, constant support, motivation and a well-structured study plan during your preparation for Paper M2?
Your knowledgeable, patient, and supportive tutor Ignacio Lobato will be leading an M2 study group for EQE 2027 too! Ignacio passed the EQE in 2022 and has since published several helpful EQE materials, including his popular Paper D guides (through Wolters Kluwer).
For the 2027 Paper M2 exam, Ignacio will follow the same six-month study plan that Zsofia has been refining since 2021. We believe this six-month program offers the greatest value to candidates, as it allows sufficient time to cover all topics thoroughly without rushing or causing unnecessary stress.
The goal of these courses is to create a supportive environment; and after spending some time together, these sessions often become friendly and (almost) fun weekly meetings. Together, you will tackle the overwhelming syllabus by discussing and answering multiple legal questions each week.
The study plan is designed to support consistent learning: you will spend the first 15 weeks reviewing and discussing all legal topics (starting with the PCT). After a 3-week winter break, you will spend 8 weeks from January onwards working through 9 past D1 exams to refresh everything and improve your speed.
We will also have a dedicated session about Unitary patents and on 14 February 2027 you can attend the Fillun Mock M2 exam.
Please note that participation in this group includes weekly homework. It’s time-consuming, but essential for real progress. (Unfortunately there are no magic tricks…)

(The Paper M2 exam will be held on 4 March 2027.)Places: Minimum 8, maximum 15 per group (on a first come, first served basis)
Meeting times – choose your group:
Wednesdays at 17:00 CET (16:00 UK time)
Thursdays at 17:00 CET (16:00 UK time)
The meetings are about 120 minutes long (with one break), but this is a bit flexible depending on the questions and our discussion.
All meetings are online, via Zoom, and in English.

I started preparing for the EQE main papers after the summer of 2021 and passed the EQE in 2022. For the preparation, I analyzed the format of each paper and wrote summaries accordingly, creating my own methodology. After passing the exams, I wanted to help other candidates with their exam preparation and published a book focused on D-I questions based on my summaries, covering all frequently asked topics, which I have been updating regularly since then. After tutoring one study group for Paper D 2024, one for Paper D 2025 and two groups for Paper D1/M2 2026, I am excited to be teaching my M2 preparation courses for EQE 2027.
For the 2027 Paper M2 exam, Ignacio will follow the same six-month study plan that Zsofia has been refining since 2021. We believe this six-month program offers the greatest value to candidates, as it allows sufficient time to cover all topics thoroughly without rushing or causing unnecessary stress. Between September and Christmas, you will go through the full exam syllabus in an engaging and structured way, by answering homework and quiz questions and discussing your related questions during the meetings. From January onwards, the focus shifts to revisiting legal topics through past D1 exam questions, while also strengthening exam technique and improving speed.
The study group program includes:
An introductory session with Q&A about the study materials, methodology, and the study plan
Discussion of about 170 legal questions together (also highlighting frequent mistakes, discussing difficulties and takeaways)
Discussion of 9 previous Paper D1 exams (2016, 2018-2026)
23 weekly, interactive 120-minute-long meetings via Zoom with Ignacio Lobato
An additional (recorded) meeting about Unitary patent with Zsofia Pintz (12 December 2026, Saturday)
Participation in the Fillun mock Paper M2 exam (14 February 2027, Sunday)

Please kindly note that there is regular homework during the course. Of course, if you only have time for half of the questions or if you miss a few meetings, that is completely fine. Everyone has busier periods. The meetings will always be recorded so that you can watch them later.
Furthermore, your active participation (with the camera being turned on) is expected during the online classes.

Correction of your answers is not included in the fee.
