Details:

• Duration: 8 October 2025 – 17 December 2025, meetings on every second Wednesday afternoons

• Meeting Format: Bi-weekly online sessions (~120-180 minutes each)

• Structure: One small group tutored by Baris Atalay

• Group Size: Minimum 8, maximum 15 participants (first come, first served)

(EQE 2026 Paper M1 will be held on Monday, 9 March 2026.)

This is the first time we are organising this course, so it is difficult to plan the length of the meetings. Our goal, of course, is to help you as much as we can and answer all your questions. That is the reason why the end time is only approximate.

I have 23 years of experience in patent prosecution, litigation, and freedom-to-operate analyses across Europe and Turkey. Since 2015, I’ve been an active tutor for the EPI, and I’m excited to be teaching my first preparation course for the new M1 exam in 2026.

In my spare time, I enjoy developing niche patent and legal tech tools for iOS.

This M1 study program will include 6 meetings focusing on learning the basics of drafting, defending and attacking and 3 unique Mock exams (drafted specifically for this course!) to practice for this new EQE Paper.

• Homework: Mock M1 exam with drafting type part 2 (drafted by Baris Atalay)

• Meeting 2: Wednesday, 22 October from 16:00 to approximately 19:00 CET
  Topic: Discussion of homework (Mock M1 exam)

• Meeting 3: Wednesday, 5 November from 16:00 to approximately 19:00 CET
  Topic: Defending basics

• Homework: Mock M1 exam with defending type part 2 (drafted by Baris Atalay)

• Meeting 4: Wednesday, 19 November from 16:00 to approximately 19:00 CET
  Topic: Discussion of homework (Mock M1 exam)

• Meeting 5: Wednesday, 3 December from 16:00 to approximately 19:00 CET
  Topic: Attacking basics

• Homework: Mock M1 exam with attacking type part 2 (drafted by Baris Atalay)

• Meeting 6: Wednesday, 17 December from 16:00 to approximately 19:00 CET
  Topic: Discussion of homework (Mock M1 exam), final questions
