Baris Atalay
European & Turkish Patent Attorney, active member of the epi Professional Education Committee (PEC), EQE tutor
I have 23 years of experience in patent prosecution, litigation, and freedom-to-operate analyses across Europe and Turkey. Since 2015, I’ve been an active tutor for the EPI, and I’m excited to be teaching my first preparation course for the new M1 exam in 2026.
In my spare time, I enjoy developing niche patent and legal tech tools for iOS.

This is the first time we are organising this course, so it is difficult to plan the length of the meetings. Our goal, of course, is to help you as much as we can and answer all your questions. That is the reason why the end time is only approximate.
Both M1 study groups include 6 meetings focused on learning the basics of drafting, defending and attacking and 3 unique Mock exams (created specifically for this course!) to practice for this new EQE Paper. Both groups have the same tutor, content and study plan, the only difference is the timing and frequency of the meetings.
By joining one of these study groups, you will also have the benefit of:
Access to recordings of all sessions
Safe space where you can ask any questions;
Constant support from an experienced tutor;
6 informal meetings with the same small group of EQE candidates;
Growing your network of patent attorneys from all over Europe.
Please note that the correction of your exam answers is not included in the fee.
Furthermore, please note that Zsofia will not attend these meetings.
